Stands the Test of Time.

If you have a laptop and you work it hard, a cooler is an essential item. I have purchased a couple now and although they all did the job quietly and efficiently, they did not last long - fans broke, edges snapped, easily scuffed/scratched etc within months.
I have found that the Akasa Libra works effectively, is very quiet and the sturdy aluminium build stands the test of time. My best buy on the cooler front. |
Cool as a cucumber

This is a cracking bit of kit for the price, it really is!
It's a doddle to set up (just plug it into a USB socket - et voila!) and VERY quiet when running. So much so that initially i thought it didn't work - yes THAT quiet :)
Would recommend one easily |

| I got an overheating problem with my DELL XPS M1330 due to the faulty GPU Nvidia 8400 M GS. This cool pad is really helpful. The GPU temperature drops 10 celcius degree. Highly recommended. |
Surprisingly effective!!!

I bought this item for my ACER Aspire 15.4" notebook which suffered from VERY excessive overheating and would keep switching itself off.
Having had it for over a month now, it has done wonders to its performance, and my laptop hasn't crashed since i used this. Its incredibly light and is completely silent, i often have to check its on/working, but it is!!
Great bit of kit, highly recommended!!! |

This is a plastic moulding, with an aluminium top plate. It works well.
It does drain my battery a little (the laptop shuts down a little earlier) but there is still a real benefit even with the fans turned off (it stops you blocking the fan air intake on the underside of the laptop). I've used HWMonitor to check the CPU temperature and there is a 5 to 12 degrees C reduction depending what the laptop is doing at the time. The fans are essentially silent (much less noise than the laptop fan).
Overall, an excellent buy. Highly recommended.
