Truly Amazing

| The first thing you notice about these speakers when removing from the box is the feeling of weight and quality. As they are transparent, even the insides have to be very neat and well put together. Set up is a doddle, plug the sub into the PC and the satellites into the sub. The cables are all quite thick and seem to be better quality than the average bell-wire you normally find with PC stuff. The sub has its own volume control (a turn dial) and the speakers have fancy touch sensitive buttons. There is no on/off switch; they stay on the whole time with the sub giving off a lovely pale blue glow at night. Playing MP3's over the speakers they sound very punchy and lively, much better than anything else I have had. I bought these speakers after becoming tired of replacing burnt out cheap and even not-so-cheap ones from other well known brands and I am very glad I did. They look as good as they sound! There is no headphone socket but this is not an issue for me. the touch buttons, although very cool can catch you out as there is no visual reference of where the sound is as you power up so remember to have your finger on the 'volume down' button late at night just in case. Don't buy ugly black or beige speakers, buy these or the surround sound equivalent from Harman / Kardon...............they are in a different league to anything else I have heard. |

| Wow!!! What can I say, these little speakers are not only as funky as anything you are likely to see on the market, but produce an amazing high quality, rich, bassy sound, when attached to my PC. The bass may be a bit much for some people, but I love a big bassy sound so they are perfect for my requirements. To think such an amazing sound comes out of speakers 10" tall and 2.5" wide is phenomenal. I am totally blown away. I can use them with my iPod as well as my PC. OK they are not really portable, as the alienesque subwoofer certainly doesn't fit into your pocket, but if you wish to listen to music on your iPod in your room, then these are ideal. The subwoofer has a funky blue light, which makes it look as though it is from outer space. If you are looking for excellent speakers at a medium price, then these are for you - don't think twice - BUY THEM! |

I needed some speakers that were compatable with both my ibook and my mini disc, so anything that needed a sound card or other such upgrade was out of the question. After reading all of the above reviews, and various others, and seeing that these were recommended on the apple website (a sure sign of quality, no?)I decided that if they were what people said they were, they would be worth the money. They are, trust me. I honestly didn't expect such clarity and power from a system that cost just over £100. I (until now) was a firm believer that to get truly decent qualtiy sound I would have to part with copious amounts of cash for some bottom of the range studio monitors, and I being a lowly youth, do not have that kind of cash. The base on this system is yummy and the rest, well.... Looks fab, sounds ace and is v v cool. And the blue glow, aw man!Just ask anyone, they'll tell you, mac styling is the way forward my friends. compare this system for example to a clunky, dark, faux wood £30 2.1 surround sound system. Just look at the two, imgine them both in your living room, which is gonna look better? eh? need i say more...... |
These are great!

| I was looking for some speakers to use with my iPod. I tried all of the set ups in the Apple Store, including the Bose Soundock etc, before concluding that these are far and away the best. The eclipse system might be better (I don't know - they didn't have one in the store), but it's also TEN times the price if you include a sub-woofer). I didn't like the look of these, but the sound completely converted me. I have them set up permanently with my computer and they are GREAT. Easily worth twice as much as the JBLs. Clear, good positioning and nice tight bass. Having bought them, I decided I didn't need the £750 stereo system, I'd been looking at. If you are serious about the music on your computer, get these! |
Great
